The Rev. Dr. Joe Ann Watson serves as the Settled Pastor of Mont Clare United Church of Christ (MCUCC) on the northwest side of Chicago. She is a woman of strong faith with a heart for God’s people. She has a passion for nurturing her Young Adults to become leaders of today and tomorrow.
Dr. Watson joined Trinity UCC, Chicago in 1988 and served there in many capacities for over 34 years. She has served on the Illinois Conference Annual Planning Committee, and was the Media/Audio Visual Technician for the Conference for a number of years. She is an ad hoc member of the Outdoor Ministry Committee (Illinois Conference Parks), and is Immediate Past-President of McCormick Theological Seminary Alumni/ae Council and a member of the Philippine American College of Clergy.
Dr. Watson was ordained by the Alliance of Baptist and holds standing with them. She was ordained as pastor by the United Church of Christ, Eastern Association in 2014, and is the Founder and Pastor of Spiritual Connections Ministries (2005).
Dr. Watson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management from Chicago State University, a Master of Divinity Degree from McCormick Theological Seminary, A Certificate in Executive Leadership from McCormick Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry from McCormick Theological Seminary, all in Chicago, Illinois.
She is the proud mother of one Daughter – Angela, a Son-in-Love – Anthony and one Grandson – Jeremiah.
